Requirements for server memory to run your 4GL applications:
We recommend to use the following formula to define server memory requirements:
Number of running programs (processes) x 60Mb
Example: 100 Users (each running an application process) will make:
100 x 60Mb = 6GB RAM
+500Mb for the Lycia Server Software
+your OS memory requirements
Requirements for included C/C++/Esql-C sources:
- Windows: Visual Studio 2003 or later
- Unix/Linux: OS compatible ANSI C/C++ compiler
- Apple Mac: OSX installation disks provide a C compiler and more compatible C compilers are freely available from apple's website
Requirements for Web Services:
- Java Development Kit (JDK) 1.5 or later
- C-Compiler (only if you include C or EsqlC files into your project):
- Windows: Visual Studio 2003 or later
- Unix/Linux/Apple Mac: OS compatible ANSI C/C++ compiler
- Apple Mac: XCode 3 or later
Note: The C-compiler and the JRE are only required on the development machine
